files lawsuit against Teva over Seroquel patent

LONDON (MarketWatch)
British pharmaceutical AstraZeneca (AZN) (UK:AZN) said Wednesday that it has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Count against Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA) for infringement of the patent protecting AstraZeneca's schizophrenia treatment Seroquel. The lawsuit is in response to an application by Teva at the end of September to make a generic version of Seroquel in the U.S. prior to the expiration of AstraZeneca's patent in 2011.
